1. What is this survey about?
This survey is the Vanuatu Second National Survey on Women’s Lives and Family Relationships 2024. It examines women’s experiences in relationships, including safety, wellbeing, and exposure to violence.
2. Who conducted the survey?
The survey was conducted by the Vanuatu Women’s Centre (VWC) in partnership with the Vanuatu Bureau of Statistics (VBoS).

Data collection took place between May and August 2024.

The survey covered all six provinces of Vanuatu, including the urban centres of Port Vila and Luganville.

A total of 2,769 women participated in the survey.

Yes. The research used structured national sampling methods to ensure results represent women across Vanuatu.

The goal is to strengthen awareness, policy responses, prevention programs, and support services to reduce violence and improve family wellbeing.
