The Vanuatu Women’s Centre held a National Program Design Document (PDD) workshop and internal meetings on 2nd to 11th February 2026. This workshop is to strengthen safeguarding practices and develop its five-year Program Design Document (2026–2030).

The program began on the 2nd February 2026, on Prevention of Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment (PSEAH) and Child Protection Workshop, where staff strengthened their understanding of safeguarding policies, reporting procedures, and organisational responsibilities. Participants reviewed national and international frameworks, assessed risks, and developed action plans to strengthen protection standards across VW C’s advocacy and service delivery work.

From the 3rd to the 10th of February 2026, VWC staff gathered for an intensive Program Design and Development (PDD) Workshop to reflect on past achievements and identify priorities for the next five years. Discussions covered counselling and legal support services, community education and outreach awareness, branch and community programs, human and legal rights advocacy, male advocacy, and organisational systems and governance.

The workshops also addressed cross-cutting priorities such as disability inclusion, climate Change and disaster preparedness, monitoring and evaluation, risk management, and the development of realistic implementation plans and budgets. Staff worked collaboratively to draft sections of the new Program Design Document.

From 11–13 February 2026, VWC held internal meetings focused on the second national research planning, finance coordination, and annual program planning to ensure strong alignment with the upcoming program cycle.

These workshops mark an important step in strengthening VWC’s goals and reinforcing its commitment to delivering quality services and advancing efforts to eliminate violence against women and children across Vanuatu.
