On 9th September 2025, the Vanuatu Women’s Centre (VWC) marked its 33rd Anniversary, reflecting on more than three decades of services supporting women and children across Vanuatu since 1992.
The celebration featured welcome remarks from VWC Coordinator Tatavola Matas, alongside speeches from New Zealand High Commissioner Nicola Simmonds and UNFPA GBV Specialist Jackline Obwanda.
A special presentation highlighted the history and growth of VWC, while staff, partners, and guests reflected on the journey of the Vanuatu Women's Centre, shared stories, and looked towards the future of the organisation.
From inspiring speeches to creative activities such as the Wall of Gratitude and Letter to the Future, the celebration honored the strength and resilience of past pioneers and future generations to come.
